North American and European PC players who are hoping to play “Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA” soon will have to wait a little longer as the game is delayed.
The game was originally slated for release in North America tomorrow and in Europe on Sept 15. But according to a press release from NIS America, the PC version is delayed due to continued gameplay improvements. While the PC version does not have a new release date yet, the PlayStation 4 and Vita versions will still release as scheduled.
“We want to ensure that our fans will enjoy a high-quality game, so we are continuing to work hard by taking time to enhance the quality of gameplay for PC users,” said NIS America through the press release.
Additionally, the publisher has also posted about the delay on the Steam forums. To appease disappointed fans, NIS America is offering to refund those who pre-purchased the game. Steam orders will be refunded through there, while orders placed somewhere else will be refunded by that merchant.
Both the PC and PS4 versions of the game have content exclusive to them, which was revealed at the end of last month. Additionally, a free demo is still available for download at the PlayStation Store.
