FuturLab’s shooter platformer Velocity 2X is launching for the Switch on Sept 20, publisher Curve Digital has announced.
Velocity 2X was originally announced back in July for a Switch launch and was slated for an August release. Though slightly off the original target date, the game’s Switch version marks the first time the series has ever released on a Nintendo console. The game originally launched back in 2014 for PlayStation 4 and Vita, followed by a 2015 release on Xbox One and Steam. Meanwhile, its prequel Velocity released back in 2012 for PS3, PSP, and PS Vita.
According to the email announcement, the game will run on 1080p/60 fps on docked mode and 720p/60 fps on handheld. EGX attendees will also have a chance to try it out at Curve Digital’s booth.
