Vampyr owners will have two new modes to look forward to when the update rolls around this summer: Story Mode and Hard Mode.

Released on June 4, Vampyr is a narrative-driven action game where players take control of a doctor-turned-vampire in 20th century Britain. The upcoming Story Mode addition will allow players to experience the story more by decreasing the combat frequency and lowering its difficulty. On the flipside, Hard Mode increases combat difficulty for less experience points, making players reliant on citizens to gain power.

In light of the recent announcement, the game currently has a 25 percent discount on Steam only. Both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One prices remain the same.

About Vampyr

Set in early 20th century Britain during a bout of the lethal Spanish flu, the streets of London are crippled by disease, violence, and fear. In a completely disorganized and ghostly city, those who are either fools, desperate, or unlucky enough to walk the streets lay prey to Britain’s most elusive predators: the Vampires. As a doctor recently turned into a Vampire, you try to understand your new affliction. Your quest of intuition, discoveries, and struggles will be filled with death and drama while you attempt to stem the irrepressible thirst that constantly drives you to take human lives.
