After the success of SteamWorld Dig 2, Image & Form announced that SteamWorld Heist: Ultimate Edition is releasing for the Switch on Dec 28.
Originally released for the 3DS back in December 2015, SteamWorld Heist’s story is directly linked to the events of Dig 2. Image & Form also mentioned that this link is the reason why they’re bring Heist to the console first before the original game. Set centuries after Dig 2, a hearty crew of steambots will board, loot, and shoot their way through enemy spaceships.
And because this is the ultimate edition, Switch owners can enjoy the game without worrying about downloadable content. All previously released content – The Outsider and two hat boxes – are already included. Image & Form also included the ability to play the game entirely using the touch screen for more precise aiming.
To celebrate the game’s announcement, Image & Form is holding a giveaway on Twitter for a chance to win an early copy of the game. Entrants will simply have to retweet and reply for a chance to win.
