Dedicated word and puzzle games developer Lightwood Games announced today that their Nintendo Switch game, Pic-a-Pix Deluxe, launches digitally on Jan 4.
Pic-a-Pix Deluxe is an enhanced version of the studio’s color picross game, Pic-a-PIx Color. The game features 150 brand new colored puzzles designed by Conceptis Puzzles, a specialist in print and online logic puzzles. Veteran picross players can also sink their teeth in 150 black and white puzzles, bringing the total in-game count to 300. And thanks to the Switch’s larger screen size, the puzzle grids can go all the way up to 35 x 25. Players don’t have to tackle the gargantuan puzzles alone – the game supports co-op mode for up to four players using any Switch controller. Touchscreen controls on handheld mode is also an option.
Lightwood Games also revealed that the game will cost $7.99 (7.99 euros or 6.99 pounds). A free demo will be out on Dec 19, and those who are interested can preorder the game on the same day. Puzzles from the game’s 3DS and Wii U version will be released as downloadable contents on launch day, with more puzzles to be released at a later date.
