French studio Motion Twin revealed today the last major content update for Dead Cells before it leaves Steam‘s Early Access: The Hand of the King Update.

This major update hosts a bevy of tweaks and additions to things such as balancing, level design, and graphics. A portion of these changes are community suggestions, taken after months of bug reporting from early access players. Some of the most important items include:

  • New level called “The Castle”
  • New final boss
  • 4th difficulty mode called “Nightmare”
  • New weapons and active skills

The entire list of changes are listed on the patch notes, posted at the Dead Cells website. The developers also published a vlog that talks about the update.

Players must explore an ever-changing castle and take advantage of the fast-paced combat to get through keepers.
